Get the FACTS about Service Employees International Union (SEIU)
The Real SEIU - Be On The Lookout

The SEIU is trying to disrupt police unions across the country by contracting with shady organizations that use outrageous tactics to recruit officers away from their current union.

No one has been able to identify a single police officer who actually belongs to any of these organizations, which include:

  • DOG
  • Prewitt Organizing
  • Alliance of Concerned Officers

These organizations are not friends of law enforcement officers, nurses, or teachers and their “smear campaigns” are full of deceptive mailers, phone calls, and website links from phony groups.  They approach officers while on duty and at their homes.  Their tactics are disgraceful.

Ex-con and other Non-Police Officers Hired to
Campaign Against Police Unions

Keith Wrightson

Keith Wrightson, employee for the Direct Organization Group, to try to agitate officers in police unions.  Wrightson has acknowledged that he was arrested and convicted for drug related charges involving cocaine and served three years in prison. He noted that he was one of several arrested during a raid, but he was the only individual incarcerated because “he didn’t flip” (cooperate with the police).

These individuals are not concerned about protecting your job or rights - no matter what they say. In fact, they probably get rewarded based upon recruiting you.

BLOG of Police Report

Here’s a summary of a police report filed by an officer regarding “Alex Mac:”

In the past months, an unknown black male has been approaching officers while on duty in the city.  About three days before Christmas, one of the officers arrived at home around 1600 hours after shopping for the holidays and observed a black male sitting in a vehicle in front of the officer’s residence.  The officer was a detective in a gang task force and had received threats and he was concerned for the safety of his family.  The male approached the officer and identified himself at “Alex Mac.” He then asked the officer if he was happy with an organization called IUPA.

The officer asked Alex Mac as to how he had obtained his home address.  “Alex Mac” stated that he had received it through public records.

The officer told “Alex Mac” to leave immediately and then the officer entered his home only to discover that “Alex Mac” had already approached his wife to inquire if her husband liked his union.  “Alex Mac” mentioned to the officer’s wife that there had been an election in another local where he stated that they “almost got them.”

After the officer arrived for his shift at 0800 the next day, he sent an email out to warn the other officers about the episode that had occurred the day before.  He received a response from a fellow officer indicating that “Alex Mac” had tried to locate him at his parent’s house and that he had left a business card.

Upon inspection of the business card, it was apparent that the card only listed the name of “Alex Mac” and a phone number.  There was no address or company name listed.  The officer then called another phone number and spoke to a lady in another state that said she would have him return the call.  “Alex Mac” called the officer back and upon inquiry stated that his real name was Alexander McDonald and that he worked for the Direct Organizing Group in Washington, D.C.  He also indicated that his supervisor was James Mesumchi.  The officer then asked him again how he had received the home addresses of the officers.  He then indicated that, “it might have been one of the former unions that used to represent the local.”
